Methodology · M1→M6

Two acts, one chain

MMA is not a “modular M3→M6 chain” alone. It is the full system: a data workbench first, then macroeconomic analysis and publication.

Act 1 — entering the data

M1

Explore, fetch, Memory Optimizer

Eurostat and other catalogues, cube fetch and filter-before-load. The analyst does not pull the full dataset into memory only to slice it later.

M2

Pivot, visualization, statistical analysis

Tables, 34 basic chart types and subtypes, 8 advanced types and 3 EU maps (country, NUTS2 and NUTS3), descriptive statistics and time-series methods.

Act 2 — the macro system

M3

Relative position

Prepared indicator set and top indicators. Actual vs target, nowcast, comparison.

M4

Semaphore R/Y/G

A reading map of the regime by dimension. Not an official Commission MIP score.

M5

Risk narrative

Sankey, news, risk matrix, A/B versus the last pass.

M6

MADS what-if

DSGE-lite scenarios, Δ vs baseline. Not an official forecast.

RedRStress — do not push yellow into red.
YellowYWatch — track before acting.
GreenGA more stable channel, read with the others.

Disclaimer: MADS and the semaphore are working reading tools. They do not replace official forecasts, the MIP scoreboard or an institutional decision.
